 Performing/Visual Arts /and Summer Programs

Art Class Girl

Little Scholars of Detroit Performing/Visual arts and Summer programs, provide a comprehensive selection of classes and activities that are focused in four main areas: Academic Enrichment, Fitness, Sports, Performing/Creative Arts & Culture and Life Skills.

These key focus areas assist in developing and addressing social and emotional learning objectives. The arts and cultural components are a major portion of our program’s focus. This provides participants the pathways to learn how to use critical, creative and innovate ways to express themselves and problem solving.

In addition to our classroom curriculum Little Scholars also offers educational fieldtrips. These outing support continuing education and exposes participants to culture, history, and theatre arts. Students will enjoy museums, live theater performances, art galleries, outdoor performances, libraries, art fairs.

Additionally, students are given the opportunity to participate in community outreach events by volunteering with community service providers. Essentially we believe our youth will benefit from a balance of academic and artistic educational activities.

Our programs also provides transportation services and nutritional meals daily. Participants must be between the ages of 5-13 years of age. We partner with parents receiving DHS along with offering scholarships.  We are currently enrolling.
